Mr. Avinash S Nair serves as Director of Derrick Jones Management, bringing over 8 years of diverse leadership experience across international business operations, strategic management, sales and marketing, higher education consulting, and workforce development. His professional journey spans multinational corporations, international markets, and educational institutions, enabling him to bring a unique global perspective to the organisation.

Avinash holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from SCMS and has consistently demonstrated academic and professional excellence throughout his career. He represented his institution at the prestigious Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Los Angeles,USA, where he presented research papers alongside participants from leading business schools around the world. He is also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli, further strengthening his expertise in leadership, business strategy, and organisational management.

He began his professional career with Amazon, where he spent four years in progressively responsible leadership roles. As a Group Manager, Avinash led large-scale operations supporting the United States and Canadian marketplaces, managing a workforce of more than 200 professionals. During his tenure, he was responsible for driving operational excellence, performance management, customer experience initiatives, and strategic business outcomes within one of the world's most dynamic technology-driven organisations.

Building on his international experience, Avinash later moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he served as Head of Sales and Marketing for Prestige. In this role, he successfully managed business development initiatives and key client relationships across the region, working with globally recognised organisations including Four Seasons Hotels, PepsiCo, and LSC. His contributions helped strengthen market presence, drive revenue growth, and establish long-term strategic partnerships.

For more than two and a half years, Avinash has been an integral part of Derrick Jones Management, where he plays a pivotal role in business operations, client engagement, strategic planning, and organisational growth. His extensive travel across New Zealand, including visits to universities, institutes, and educational providers throughout the country, has provided him with firsthand knowledge of New Zealand's education landscape. This experience allows him to guide students and families with practical insights into academic opportunities, career pathways, and life in New Zealand.
