Study Pathways

Lincoln University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through four key departments: Agricultural Sciences, Commerce, Environment and Design, and Wine, Food and Molecular Biosciences. Degrees include the Bachelor of AgriCommerce, Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Bachelor of Environmental Management, Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology.

Lincoln University Academic Preparation Programme (LUAP)

This foundation programme is designed for international students who do not meet direct undergraduate entry requirements. Upon successful completion, students can progress into the first year of their chosen Lincoln University degree.

English Language Programmes

Lincoln University offers English language preparation courses for students who need to improve their academic English proficiency before beginning degree-level study.


Admission Requirements

Undergraduate applicants must hold a recognised school leaving qualification equivalent to New Zealand NCEA Level 3, or an approved international equivalent. Some programmes require specific subject backgrounds (e.g., Science, Mathematics) at the secondary school level. Postgraduate applicants require a relevant bachelor's degree.

English Language Requirements

IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5) for most undergraduate programmes; IELTS 6.5 for postgraduate study.
