Programme Overview
The Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare. The programme focuses on interprofessional practice and care, combining theoretical knowledge with 1,000 hours of practical experience in hospitals and community settings. Students learn that health and healthcare is multifaceted and dynamic, going beyond illness care to nurture healthy communities. Graduates who pass the Nursing Council of New Zealand's State Examination gain registration as a Registered Nurse.

Entry Requirements
Academic: University Entrance (NCEA) or equivalent. Preference for applicants with a subject from Biology, Chemistry, or Health Sciences, plus a subject from English, Social Studies, or Humanities. Must meet Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA Act) and Children's Act 2014 requirements, including police clearance.
