Programme Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management is designed for professionals already working in the construction industry who want to move into project management roles. The programme develops the knowledge and skills to effectively organise, manage, and lead activities on construction sites, ensuring contracts are completed on time and within budget. Delivery combines on-campus block courses (2 x 2-week blocks per semester), eLearning, and assignments. Students gain exposure to Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes. The programme is suitable for professionals from architecture, construction, and property management backgrounds. Preference is given to applicants with at least five years of industry experience or a relevant undergraduate degree.

Entry Requirements
Academic: One of the following — a related/similar undergraduate degree accredited by NZQA; OR successful completion of NZ Diploma in Construction (Construction Management), NZ Diploma in Architectural Technology, or NZ Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) with at least 3 years relevant experience; OR a professional qualification in a relevant discipline with demonstrated equivalent competency; OR a minimum of 6 years management experience in construction or a closely related industry with Academic Authority approval.
English: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band score lower than 5.5.
Performance: Satisfactory academic progress required throughout. At least 75 of the 120 required credits must be completed at Level 7. Special or discretionary admission may apply if standard criteria are not met, subject to interview.
