Programme Overview
This Master's degree is designed to transform professionals into strategic leaders. It focuses on eight core professional competencies Money, Markets, People & Culture, Planning, Technology, Innovation, Globalisation, and Sustainability with a specific lens on sustainable business and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).
Students can choose between three distinct pathways:
- Coursework: A selection of broad modules to deepen professional knowledge.
- Industry Integrated (Professional Practice): Tailored development within your current organization.
- Research: Focused on a significant applied research project in a specific management area.
What You'll Study
The curriculum is built on Level 8 and Level 9 modules. The 180-credit version requires at least 45 credits at Level 9.

Entry Requirements
- Academic (180-credit): A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management with a B average, or a PG Diploma/Honours degree with 120 credits at Level 8.
- Academic (240-credit): An undergraduate degree from a NZ institution or approved equivalent in any field.
- Professional: Applicants with a degree in an unrelated field may be admitted based on evidence of management experience (subject to assessment).
- Selection: At the Dean's discretion, compelling applications not meeting standard criteria may be considered.
- English: IELTS Academic 6.5 (all bands 6.0+) or equivalent.
