Programme Overview

The Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology at Whitireia and WelTec is a one-year Level 8 qualification. It is also the first year of the 18-month Master of Information Technology.

Graduates with a B grade (65%) average or higher can move on to the Master of Information Technology, with credit for the diploma. Whitireia and WelTec also offer some IT qualifications online for international students outside New Zealand.

Entry Requirements

• A bachelor's or postgraduate qualification in IT or a related subject with at least a B grade average, or equivalent skills and experience from work or professional practice.
• English: IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with no band lower than 6.0, or equivalent.
